Happily ever after

Today is the first day of my work

God, frustrating IT company, my life sucks in that company from morning to evening

Every day after work, I started from office at 4 o clock. I took one room nearer to my office. I have to cross one five star hotel before reaching my room.

Every day, I stared there and admire the building from the top to the bottom, and then I started walking to my room

I have to be idle until next morning, life is really boring, I stuck like a gum in a my room, staring at wall, texting, listening to music, I found so many ways to get rid of my loneliness

Next day again same routine, same horrible programming, sucking bugs, irritating projects

Suck!! I want to shout and want to run away somewhere to find my happiness, to find something which fetch both money and happiness

My life is so, so, so sick

I saw one poster outside my hostel saying “need part time worker for 5 star hotel” with that a contact number also there

I took that part time job without my parent’s knowledge

Manager of the hotel, asked me you know English?

Yes, sir, I replied

Because, people coming here are mostly foreigners and CEO of big companies, he explained

Ok sir, I can manage, I smiled

Finish the procedure and start your work, he told

Thank you sir, I smiled

I started my work, this work gives me inner happiness, asking people what they like to eat and giving them, seeing people eat, seeing people smile, wow!! This job is better no far better than my dumbest IT job.

One rainy day, one man came with fully wet, he removed his jacket and left in the couch, he removed his dye and undo two button of his shirt, he looked like a model, tall, attractive

I came to conscious and walked near to him. He is staring at me like I am staring him

Sir, what do you like to have? , I asked

You are so beautiful, he replied

Excuse me, I blinked

You are so damn beautiful girl, he told again

Order please, I ignored him but smiled inside myself

He gave his order but I lost my thoughts because he is so attractive and after a second “Idiot you are working here” my inner conscious alerted me, I came back to my sense

After that I started running here and there asking people what they want and meanwhile I found him noticing me, why he is looking at me all this time??

He finished his food

Sir, do you want anything? , I asked

From when are you working here, I never saw you before, he asked

From yesterday, I replied

Full time huh, He questioned

No sir I am working in IT Company, this is my part time, I replied

Do you like to something to eat, I asked without letting him ask more question

You think, I am a monster, he asked

Pardon me, sir, I blinked

I had full, by the by Karthik, he told by lending his hand to me

I take his hand with hesitation and told I am Harinee

He went but his thoughts came to my mind

As I guess he is a millionaire, so he might be a play boy flirted with me, you should not think about him, I told myself

Work tired made me sleep earlier than I thought

Next day, after whole day of doing boring and retarded stuffs it’s finally 4 in the evening

Like a school kid, running to home, I started running to hotel

He didn’t come today, Karthik chapter close, I told myself

It’s 10 o clock and it’s raining heavily outside

Shit, I forgot to take my umbrella

Some new customer came with rain coat

I went near to him and asked my usual dialogue, Shit, that is Karthik

Harinee, you again, he smiled

Because I am working here... sir, I paused

He gave order and I served him within five minutes

He stared at me whole time, what he wants exactly, I questioned myself

I went near to him, but he looked down and pretending likes eating food sincerely

Sir, you want anything, I asked

Yeah, your phone number, he giggled

Sir, we are serving only food, I replied with full attitude

Oh, fine, he smiled

Its 10.30 already, rain didn’t stopped I told manager and moved outside

It’s raining heavily, even though, my room is nearer to hotel, I can’t walk in this rain definitely I will get cold

You need lift, I heard Karthik voice

No, I told without even looking his face

Where is your home, he asked

None of your business, I replied

Is it walk able distance, he asked ignoring my attitude

Yeah, only 100 steps away, I told

Ok, then I will walk with you so that I can count its 100 steps or not, he giggled

Are you really CEO of big company? I blinked

I wish, I am not, but I am, he told

When he told, I saw some pain in his eyes

I think I hurtled him in some way

I walked in rain in order to ignore him, but he is also walking with me

Within 10 steps, my body starts shivering so; I found shelter nearby bus stand

Why you are stalking at me, I asked

Because I want you to go home safely, he told

Wear it, he gave his jacket

No, I don’t want, I ignored

Wear it, now, he told with anger I saw CEO Karthik now

I wear his jacket without even uttered a single word

I felt warm now, if I tell I am not attracted by him, it’s a lie, he is so attractive, caring, good looking, and I started liking him from the first day

But he is rich, a very rich man, playing in girl’s life is hobby to them, so I can’t believe him my inner conscious alerted me

I stand 3 feet away from him, he noticed that

I had no intention of doing anything bad right now, he grinned

What? …. No… It’s not like that, I feel ashamed

Thank god, finally rain stopped

Dry it off and give me tomorrow, he told

Tomorrow, Where and when?  I asked

He gave his card and told call me, he went without letting me to tell anything further

Next day, he didn’t come to hotel until 10.15

Then I called him by seeing his card

Hello, I told

Harinee, he replied as if he is expecting my call

I need to give your jacket, I told

I am standing in front of the hotel, he told

Come outside, he added

No, you wait until 10.30, I hang up

He is really waiting, I gave his jacket and told him thanks and walked without letting him to reply

He is following me, I stopped

What now, I grinned

I am protecting you, its 10.30 and you are so beautiful, I don’t want my girl walking alone, he told

You don’t need to worry about me, I paused

Wait; did you by any chance told my girl? I smirked

He smiled

I don’t know to believe him or not, I couldn’t concentrate on anything

Next day, he came at 9 o clock I sent Muthu to take his order

He didn’t take any order and told Muthu “send Harinee for taking order”

You go to that rich buffalo and take order, Muthu told with anger in eyes

Why are you sorry? If he misbehaved with you tell me, I will kick his ass, he told

Sure, I laughed

He smiled, but that smile didn’t reach his eyes, really he is angry with him

Again asked him

Sir, I paused please makes order soon; I need to see other customer also

He didn’t talk further and made order and ate

Before I made bill, he kept money on the table and went

Its 10.30, Harinee go, Muthu told

I came out, thank god today no rain

But Karthik standing beside his car, he is waiting for me for almost an hour

dress

Then we will go today, he smiled

Ok shall we go to the place where I used to go earlier? I asked

Give me, I ignored his question

I took my small diary and bought things by seeing that and kept everything in back seats. He didn’t come to any shops; he took me to all shops and waited patiently in car

You’re good in shopping, I am glad if it’s over, he told

Yeah, it’s over I smiled

Now what? he queried

Go straight, turn right, I told

Ok madam, he giggled and no more shopping, he added

Yes sir, I giggled

And we went orphanage he stared at the board

Hmm, every weekend and this is my favorite place, I told

When I go there, all my little friends came and hugged me tighter and I gave all those things which I 

bought using karthik’s money

You used money for this, he asked

Hmm yeah these geometry box, this pen that shoes are the things asked by my little friends but I didn’t earn much affording to buy these, since I saved you from spending  in expensive party , I thought I can ask you, I told

He becomes so close to my little friends. I never see his cool karthik’s side. What I know so far is arrogant, aggressive, stubborn, greedy young businessman who does any extreme for his business

But he is soft, kind and sweet person inside, I admired him from distance he suddenly looked so young and his eyes are melting me, his bright smile lighten me, suddenly I cleared my thoughts , oh shit, you can’t fall love with this rich man

I mixed up with my thoughts and I saw him coming towards me

I am hungry, he told

Yeah we will go to some nearby hotel, I told

I am so happy today because of you, he told

We will come here whenever we get time, I told

We ate and I did small shopping, he bought me clothes, even I resisted then its 5 o clock evening

Many times in abroad, first time to marina and first time with the girl I loved, he told with smile

I ignored him and started enjoying music playing in his car

We took a short walk in beach and I ate all junk foods there, he stared at me but never ate anything

I understand why you look little fat, he teased me

Yes, so don’t eat random junk foods, he told

He laughed

I bite my lip with little worry in my eyes

I smiled little and welcomed his compliment

At 8 o clock he dropped me in my room

Thanks for the day, this is my less expensive and happiest weekend I ever had, he told

This is my high expensive weekend, I told with smile

Everyday sharply 10.30 he would wait outside hotel, we walk until my hostel, that became our routine, only 5 minutes we spend for the whole week and week end. Rest of the time we both were busy with our works

I eventually fall in love with him, I can’t stop my heart falls for him, and Saturday night he was waiting outside like always

Hi, waiting for a long time? I asked

Just 10 minutes, he told

Sorry, Saturday nah so more people, why don’t you come and wait inside? I asked

If I come, I won’t let u work, he smiled

Then we started walking, how was the day? I asked

Nothing special until one minute before, he told

I hide my smile; I leaned on his shoulder and walked without saying anything

He walked slowly, so that I feel comfortable to walk along with him

See you tomorrow at the end of road, he told

 Yeah, I told

Ok then see you tomorrow, good night, he told by holding my hands

Ok good night, I waved and came

Next day he picked me from my hostel

Apart from his name, his work, I don’t know anything about him, his parents, his siblings, his life, his likes, and his dislikes anything, he became part of my life, and I wish to know more and everything about him

We reached his home, oh my god it is as big as five star hotels, so big, so beautiful,

You live here? I opened my mouth

Yeah, come inside, he dragged my hand

I still didn’t close my mouth, how could this person fall for me, I was really astonished

One old man, grey hair but looking healthy came towards me; he might be his grand father

Harinee right? He asked

Yes sir, I replied

Karthik told everything, so no sir thing, call me grandfather, he told with smile

Karthik’s parents knew about me? I asked

He lost his parents in plane crash, when he was 5, he told with pain in his eyes

Some drops of tears fell from my eyes without my knowledge, I walked with stone hearted, and I never know this sad side of Karthik

Harinee, where are you? I heard Karthik voice

Here, I replied

He came to place where I was standing

I didn’t reply anything

You don’t want gift? He asked

I was standing without a word

I hugged him tighter and cried,

What happened, he asked again and again

I stopped crying and wipe out my tears and cleared my thoughts

Shall I ask you something? I asked

Yes, of course, he told

Will you marry me? I asked

He was shocked, blinked and I found his tears rolled on his cheek which he tried to hold back

He bend in front of my knees and opened gift in his hand, it was a ring

I will, he told and wearing ring in my hands

I bend in knees and hugged him; we sat in floor without telling anything

I proposed him not because of sympathy towards him, its because only I can make him happier, and only he can love me better than anyone

though, we are different our love unites us, 

 I made silent promise that I will made you complete filling all your voids  

 our love story begins
